Oh my goodness, I just discovered peel-and-stick wallpaper and it is the MOST fun. It’s easy to apply, and there’s virtually no commitment: you can peel it off and move it as many times as you want!
We got this one for the laundry room:
I’m putting it directly over our old wallpaper (circa 1990) and it looks amazing! John and my mom both thought it was “real” wallpaper and they couldn’t believe I slapped it up in one day. In full disclosure: it does take some time to line everything up and press out any air bubbles, and also measure and cut where needed, but overall it’s much easier than permanent wallpaper or painting.
We stuck them low on the wall in my son’s room with the dry-erase markers nearby. Jack has enjoyed finding the home cities of all the college and NFL football teams we watch on the weekends. Elle has enjoyed scribbling all over the maps and making Jack mad.
For Jack’s room, we also got these giant planets.
Jack put them up himself today, cascading across one of the walls with a bright lamp acting as the sun. It’s pretty amazing for 10 minutes of effort.
The planets are extremely realistic, too, complete with surface details and one bright side and one shadowed.
For Elle’s room, we got these gold confetti dots. She and Jack put them up together. (I’ll probably go spread them out later ;) They’re a perfect addition to her sweet little princess room.
If you’re wanting something new on your walls for spring, but don’t want to make a big investment or commitment, peel-and-stick wallpaper is definitely the way to go!
